Pat Morris, Philadelphia KiXX
Veteran defender Pat Morris anchored the KiXX defense while also leading the offense in points this past weekend as Philadelphia swept the Rockford Rampage in a home-and-home series. Morris made his return to the City of Brotherly Love a historic one this past Saturday in the team’s home opener at the Liacouras Center, registering eight points on a hat trick and two assists in a 23-20 victory, also scoring the 175th goal of his decorated career. The next night, he led the KiXX attack with four points on a pair of goals in a 10-9 win. For the weekend, he recorded 12 points on five goals and two assists while also tallying a team-high four blocks. Morris leads the MISL with 14 blocks and is tied to rank sixth in the league with 21 points; his 21 points put him second among all defenders in points.
About the Major Indoor Soccer League
The MISL represents the major league of professional indoor soccer, featuring the finest indoor soccer players from around the world. The league consists of five member clubs in 2009-10: the Baltimore Blast, La RaZa de Monterrey, Philadelphia KiXX, Rockford Rampage and the Milwaukee Wave. The regular season will run for 18 weeks and will conclude on Sunday, March 21. The postseason is set to start the following weekend with the top three teams qualifying. The second- and third-place teams will square-off in a home-and-home Semifinal series with the winner advancing to battle the top seed.
