Genoni Martinez's fourth-quarter three-point goal gave the Monterrey La RaZa a 7-6 victory over the Baltimore Blast Sunday night at the Arena Monterrey. Denison Cabral led the Blast with two first-half goals but La RaZa scored three second-half goals to earn the victory. The Blast, 5-4 on the season, remain tied for first place in the MISL while La RaZa improve to 5-5 and move into a tie for third place.
Carbal scored his first goal at 9:15 of the first quarter and knocked in his second goal at 11:26 of the second quarter.
In less than 20 seconds, in the sixth minute of the third quarter, La RaZa scored two goals to tie the game at 4-4. Hector Vallejo scored Monterrey's first goal and Mark Ughy scored again, just 15 seconds later.
Martinez scored the game-winning three-point goal at 8:37 of the final quarter and the Blast cut the lead to 7-6 at 13:28 on a Giuliano Celenza sixth-attacker goal.
