The Chicago Storm opened the 2005 dispersal draft. Pick one of fifty-nine was theirs, and they used it on Mark Ughy out of the San Diego roster. Six more followed across the twelve rounds — Jacob Ward, Kevin Sakuda, Attilla Vendegh, Paul Wright, Ato Leone and Lee Morrison — and every one of the seven came from San Diego. No Monterrey player went to Chicago.

Eight reports name the club, between 29 October 2004 and 2 October 2007, with 59 mentions across the corpus. The first of them is an injury bulletin: the captain Ted Chronopoulos placed on the fifteen-day disabled list with plantar fasciitis, and Ryan Futagaki signed.

The Storm hold none of the fourteen honours the archive preserves. They do appear in the award reports repeatedly, because the All-MISL team selections name several clubs at once — Lazo Alavanja is listed among the 2005-06 All-MISL Second Team defenders in the report of 22 May 2006, and the club is named in the 2004-05 All-Rookie report as well.

The coverage sits entirely inside the revival era. A later Chicago club, the Riot, appears elsewhere in the recovered corpus and is a separate side; nothing in these eight reports connects the two, and this page does not.
