The Cleveland Force took more players out of the 2005 dispersal draft than anyone else. Twelve of the fifty-nine picks went to Cleveland: eight from the San Diego Sockers and four from Monterrey La Raza, opening with Genoni Martinez at pick two and running the full twelve rounds to Guillermo Lucero at seventy-nine. Cleveland is the only club to take a player in every round.
Thirteen reports name the club, and the corpus carries 75 Force mentions. The coverage is tightly bounded: 3 October 2002 to 23 May 2006, entirely inside the revival era. Nothing in the recovered files reaches the last league, which is consistent with a club whose MISL run ended in that period.
The archive's earliest surviving report is a Cleveland one. Dated 3 October 2002, it records the goalkeeper Denny Ciornei and the defender Zach Scott signing for the 2002-03 roster, announced by the club's president and general manager Paul Garofolo. It is the oldest file in the collection.
Omid Namazi was named Coach of the Year for 2004-05 while at Cleveland — and then won it again the following season at St. Louis, the only person in the archive to take the same award at two different clubs. The archive also holds a two-part interview with Hector Marinaro, whose name the league's MVP trophy carries.
The 2004-05 championship series ended against Milwaukee, 10-9 in double overtime of Game Two. That report is preserved here in full.
