Thirteen reports, seventeen months: an expansion club captured at its start.
MISL.net / Clubs / Detroit Ignition

The Detroit Ignition have the tightest coverage window of any well-represented club in this archive. Thirteen reports name them, all of them between 10 May 2006 and 24 September 2007 — seventeen months. The corpus carries 57 Ignition mentions. Nothing before, nothing after.
That window is not an accident of recovery. It is when the club arrived. The league approved an expansion team for Detroit in April 2005, to begin play in 2006-07, and the reports that survive are the ones the arrival generated: the expansion draft results of June 2006, the roster bulletins, the trades.
One of those trades is preserved in detail. The Ignition acquired the second overall selection in the 2007 expansion draft from the California Cougars in exchange for Sanaldo, who had been Detroit's own first overall selection the year before. California had itself acquired that pick in an earlier trade with the New Jersey club due to begin play in 2007-08. The report records all three steps.
The Ignition hold no individual honours in the archive and took no part in the 2005 dispersal draft — both simply because the club did not yet exist. That absence is worth stating rather than leaving as a blank: this is a record of what the recovered files contain, and for Detroit they contain the beginning of a club and not its end.

The archive index lists all 50 recovered reports by year. The records page holds every league honour and the complete 2005 dispersal draft; the players record sets the draft out club by club. The fixture list preserves the 2010-11 season, and the three eras explains how one league name covered three separate competitions between 1978 and 2014.
About Detroit Ignition in this archive
When do the Detroit Ignition appear in the archive?
Between 10 May 2006 and 24 September 2007 — thirteen reports across seventeen months, with 57 mentions in the recovered corpus.
Why is the Detroit coverage so short?
Because it covers the club's arrival. The league approved a Detroit expansion team in April 2005 to begin play in 2006-07, and the surviving reports are the ones that arrival generated.
Did the Ignition take part in the 2005 dispersal draft?
No. The club did not yet exist — the dispersal draft was held on 5 January 2005 and Detroit began play in 2006-07.
What was the Sanaldo trade?
Detroit sent Sanaldo, its own first overall pick of 2006, to the California Cougars for the second overall selection in the 2007 expansion draft. California had acquired that pick from the New Jersey club in an earlier trade.
Do the Ignition hold any awards in the archive?
No. None of the fourteen honours the archive preserves went to a Detroit player or coach.
